It is regarded to be an improved version of the BB cream. It is known for its lightweight texture. The coverage provided by a CC cream is greater than a BB cream. However, it is less than a foundation. These creams are also known as color correcting creams. The finish provided by a CC cream is opaque. On the other hand, BB creams provide a sheer finish.

DD creams have hit the market recently. They claim to provide some new set of features. However, it claims to retain the benefits of BB and CC creams. It prioritizes on the anti-aging factor. All these creams may be a little different in their key functionally, but still many features are the same in all these creams. For example, three of them claim to provide smooth skin, protection with SPF and also the required hydration to the skin.
