include("ad4th.php"); ?>Today, smartphones and phablets rule the world, and one of the leading manufactures of smartphones and phablets is Samsung. Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are just two of the phones in its long list of products. Samsung Galaxy S5 is the latest phone to be launched in the Samsung Galaxy line.
Despite the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S5 falls under the heading of a smartphone, and that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 falls under the heading of a phablet, the phones are quite similar. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a 5.1 inch Full HD screen, whereas the Note 3 has a 5.7 inch Full HD screen. Both are Corning Gorilla Glass 3. As the one with the larger screen, the Note 3 is of course larger in size and slightly heavier. It requires two hands to work properly.
include("ad3rd.php"); ?>From the front, the two phones look quite similar, except the Note 3 has slightly less curves. In the back, the two feature textured backs, which is different from the usual sleek and shiny Samsung back panels. The Note 3 has a faux leather back panel including faux stitching, whereas the S5 has a matte perforated textured plastic back panel.
In terms of hardware, the S5 runs on a Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400, where the LTE version of Note 3 runs on 2.3 GHz Quad-Core Processor and the 3G variant runs on 1.9GHz Big-core Quad + 1.3GHz little-core Quad. Both have the Adreno 330 GPU, but the S5 has a 2 GB of RAM, while the Note 3 has 3GB RAM. The S5 is currently available in two storage variants: 16 GB and 32 GB, with expandable storage up to 128 GB. Depending on the market, the Note 3 is available in three variants: 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB, with expandable storage up to 64 GB.
The S5 features a 16-megapixel ISOCELL camera, with 1/2.6-inch sensor and LED flash, whereas the Note 3 features a 13-megapixel camera, with 1/3.06-inch sensor and LED flash. Both phones have a 2 Mp 1080p front camera. Additionally, the S5 also uses a hybrid autofocus system that uses standard auto focus with phase detection autofocus, which means that the camera auto focuses in upto 0.3 seconds, which is faster than most phone cameras.
The advantage that Note 3 has on the S5 is the stylus, which some people might prefer. It does make some features easier to use. However, the advantages that the S5 has on the Note 3 include being dust and water resistant, as well as having a Finger Print monitor and a heart rate monitor, which syncs with the upgraded S Health app. The S5 also has a new Ultra Power saving mode, which help conserve battery power by turning the screen black and white and shutting down all background running apps. It still allows calls, texts, and web browsing.
