Nevertheless, there are many differences between a wart and a mole.

A wart is a rough growth that appears most commonly on the hands and fingers or on the soles of the feet. They can also appear on the other parts of the body like face, arms or legs and sometimes grow in the genital or anal area. They may be large or small in size. Warts are generally white or pale in color and are usually visible as a harmful skin problem. They can be very painful when they get infected and inflamed. Otherwise, warts are usually painless. A wart can be removed with medical treatment or other methods that a dermatologist may suggest.

A mole is pigmentation in the skin that usually appears in many different colors. A mole hardly ever causes pain. They can be either bumps on the skin, or can also be flat. They are more often of red, black or brown color. They are mostly made up of a clump of skin pigment cells, known as Melanocytes. It is believed that it appears because of the direct exposure of the sunlight for the longer period of time, or it can also be genetic. It cannot be removed with any medical treatment because of the roots that go into the skin. The mole on the face or other parts of the body sometimes makes one more beautiful than the other.
