Difference between Liposuction and Lipo Laser
Key difference: The terms liposuction and lipo laser are medically related to each-other. Liposuction is the extraction of fat, whereas; lipo laser is the liquefactions of the fat through laser.
include("ad4th.php"); ?>Liposuction is a medical surgery; it evolves the work from the late 1960s from Europe. The invention of modern liposuction procedure is linked to the name of two Italian gynecologists, Arpad and Giorgio Fischer, who created the blunt tunneling method in 1974.
In liposuction the extra, obese fat from the body is removed by extracting with a hollow tube (also known as cannula). The liposuction is first carried out with the help of anesthesia. In liposuction, a big volume of fats are removed by the appropriate surgery. These are those fats which makes body look imperfect and unshaped.
The basic surgical challenges of any liposuction procedure are:
- To abstract the right amount of fat.
- To cause the least disturbance of neighboring tissue, such as blood vessels and connective tissue.
- To leave the person’s fluid balance undisturbed.
- To cause the least discomfort to the patient.
According to the type, liposuction are categorized into several techniques. Basically, liposuction is carried along in the abdomen, breasts, hips, outer thighs (saddlebags), flanks (love handles), back, inner thighs, inner knees, upper arms, submental (chin), (gullet), gynecomastia (male breast tissue).
Laser lipo is one of the non-surgical techniques of removing fat.
Laser lipo is a liposuction technique, in which; the anatomy of the body part is not carried out. Here with the help of the laser techniques the fat is liquefied, and then extracted.
It works on heat technology; wherein, the fat is burned which turns into liquid form. The area of the skin contracts as it becomes fat free. The skin becomes tight, and regains its previous form. There are some techniques which follow the laser lipo method, they are: the ultrasound laser and the tumescent techniques. The laser stimulates collagen and elastin content of the body. The cells coagulates with each other, and hence results into tighter and smoother skins.

Lipo Laser |
Description |
Liposuction is a traditional process of extracting the unnecessary body fat by a surgical process. |
Lipo Laser is a laser-oriented technique, wherein the fat is liquefied with the laser heat treatment, and then extracted. |
Method |
It is a surgical process. |
It is non-surgical process. |
Requirements |
Here various incisions are used for the removal of fats. |
Here only one incision is used. |
How is the process? |
It is a painful process. |
It is not painful as compared to the traditional liposuction. |
Principle |
Liposuction uses the surgical method to extract the fats directly. |
LipoLaser procedure uses laser energy to safely penetrate the skin without making an incision. |
Time |
It is not a quicker method compared to the lipolaser method. |
It is a quicker method targeting only the specific body-organs. |
Anesthesia requirements |
Doctors who perform traditional liposuction use general anesthesia. |
Here there is no such anesthesia required. |
Risks |
There chances of risk here. |
There are less chances of risk here. |
Procedure |
In liposuction, the incision is must for the extraction of fats. |
LipoLaser does not require doctors to make incisions that could cause internal tissue damage. |
Additional surgeries |
It requires additional plastic surgery needed to smooth over the skin in the area. |
The additional cosmetic procedure is much less likely for LipoLaser patents. |
Cost |
It is an affordable process. |
It is more costly as compared to the traditional liposuction. |
