Each device has its advantage over the other. The iPod Touch offers more storage space for music and is more portable, as it is smaller in size. The iPad can shoot video, take photos, play music, send and receive email, and browse the web, among other things. It can also be used for gaming, GPS navigation, social networking, and as an ebook reader. While, the iPod Touch can also be used for some of these features, the smaller screen makes it difficult. The iPad also has retina display, a thing that the iPod Touch does not.
