Difference between RJ45 and RJ48

Key Difference: RJ, short for Registered Jack, is used in telecommunications systems. RJ45 is a connector designed for Ethernet Networks where 4 pairs of copper wire are used, signaling on RJ45. On the other hand, RJ48 is a registered jack, which is used for T1 and ISDN termination.

Only the one who is involved in Networking Field can identify RJ45 and RJ48 connector and its uses. They both use 8P8C modular plug and 2 pairs of wire, one for transmitting and one for receiving. The RJ45 is a connector term designed for Ethernet Networks. It is a connector mainly used for telephone cables. RJ48 is the same as RJ45. The difference can be seen in the way they are wired. RJ45 and RJ48 transmit digital data according to their pin connectors.
