Abaya and jilbāb are two different kinds of clothing that are available to Islamic women. An abaya can be described as a long robe or cloak, usually black in color. It is worn over the clothing and tends to cover the whole body. The modern jilbāb is a type of clothing very similar to an abaya. It is also a loose article of clothing worn over regular everyday clothing. However, in Indonesia, the term jilbab refers to a headscarf that covers the head, including hair and ears. |

Niqab and burqa are two different kinds of clothing that are available to Islamic women. A burqa is a loose outer garment that covers the whole body head-to-toe. The aim of the burqa is to cover the shape of the body in front of males outside of the family. In addition to the body, the burqa also covers the head and face. A niqab or ruband, on the other hand, is not a full body covering. It is a part of the sartorial hijab and covers only the face. It is a form of a veil that covers the face including the ears and the hair. |
Essentially, the soul is who you are. It incorporates the person’s thoughts, their will, desires, emotions and the ability to reason. The soul is the heart of the body, it does not die. It is immortal part of a person that transcends death and goes on to a higher plane, i.e. heaven, etc. A spirit, on the other hand, is the spark of light, the living force in the body. It is the reason why we are living and moving around. It is the source of power and control for both your body and soul. When we die, the spirit i.e. living force leaves the body, hence the body dies. The spirit stops existing, while the soul moves on. |

Catholicism believes in Jesus Christ as the son of God, and the promised Messiah of the people. Islam believes that Jesus and Muhammad are prophets of the Lord and tasked to bring the true word of God to the people. |
Judaism states that Jesus is not the messiah that is promised in the Old Testament and does not believe him to be the son of God. They believe there is only one God and he should be the only one who is worshipped. Christians believe Jesus is the son of God and the promised messiah. They believe in the Trinity, where a God is made up for three entities: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. |
The Catholic Bible contains the original forty-six books of the Old Testament, (which includes the seven books of the Apocrypha) and the twenty-seven books of the New Testament. The Protestant Bible only includes the thirty-nine books of the Old Testament and the twenty-seven books of the New Testament. |
The Jewish people are the Jews, a nation and an ethno-religious group, descended from the Hebrews. Hebrew refers to the descendents of Eber, which includes Abraham. Hebrew refers to the descendents of Abraham’s son Israel, while Jews refers to the descendents of Abraham’s grandson Judah. |
The terms ‘Holy Ghost’ and ‘Holy Spirit’ refer to the same thing. Both the words are used to describe the third part of the Holy Trinity, apart from God and the son of God. The only difference is the way the word was used during the old times and today. |
