Diet Coke and Coke Zero are both products of The Coca-Cola Company. Both products are meant to be a low calorie replacement to regular coke. Coke Zero was developed and launched after some people at The Coca-Cola Company realized that young adult males in America did not want to touch Diet Coke, claiming that diet cola was a woman's drink. The company aimed the new Coke Zero at this young adult male demographic, by using marketing incorporating men and masculine activities.
