Difference between Meta Title and Page Title

Key Difference: The term Page Title refers to the tag <title>Example of a title</title>. A meta title refers to the tag <META NAME="Title" CONTENT="Page Title Here">. Both the tags show the name of the webpage.

Meta title and page titles are commonly come across when creating webpages. Although, it may seem like these two terms are different, they are actually the same. At least, they usually mean the same thing.

The term Page Title refers to the tag <title>Example of a title</title>, which can be found in the head tag of a webpage. The page title is nothing but the title of the webpage. This is a required of the creator when he develops a webpage. A webpage cannot exist without a title tag.

A meta title refers to the tag <META NAME="Title" CONTENT="Page Title Here">. The content of the meta title is usually the same as the content in the page title.

Many people claim that having a meta title can help boost SEO, but researches conducted by select specialists have concluded that having a meta title in addition to a page title does not affect the page rankings. The page title and the meta title show up at the top of the browser as well as above the meta description in a search engine result.

Wow !!! finally am clear, but as you said page title and meta title content can be same, but what if they are different?, Will it confuse the google or any S.E, in terms of which one to show up in the snippet and which one to not?

actually, the title tag is like your Real name (in documents) this is your actual identity and Meta title is like a nickname (in friends circle)
