Difference between iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S
Key Difference: The iPhone 6S offers many upgrades over the iPhone 6. It has a stronger metal frame, a better camera, a new 3D Touch Display and even a new color.
include("ad4th.php"); ?>For all the iPhone lovers, rejoice; another year has brought another new iPhone model to the line of previous iPhones. Apple announced the iPhone 6S as their latest flagship phone that is to be launched at the end of September.
The iPhone 6S is not that far from its predecessor when it comes to looks, and from the specs that have been released by the company we can assume that much under the hood may remain the same as well. iPhone 6S can be considered as the upgraded version of 6; improvements are expected with the processor and the chipset.
Apple has maintained its traditions of offering system upgrades and improving the shortcomings of its iPhones in the S series and the S6 is no different.
include("ad3rd.php"); ?>In terms of looks, both the phones may seem the same. Both sport the metallic look that is offered in all of the iPhones. However, no more Bendgate, as the company has used a 7000 Series aluminum for the phone cover to strengthen it against bending in the pocket. The company has also added a new color – rose pink joins the line of the available colors of silver, space grey and gold.
The display is the most important change between the two. While both offer the same resolution and screen size of 4.7 inches, the iPhone 6S comes with a 3D Touch display that is found on their Apple Watch. The 3D Touch can gauge the force with which the user touches the screen and has a more accurate haptic feedback. The 3D Touch provides the users with a few new options such as the Peek and Pop (allows you more options by holding down on the app) and quick access to your apps on the home screen (allowing you to open certain applications directly from the home screen).
Another significant change is the camera that is mounted on the iPhone 6S. The camera has been upped from the 8 MP to the 12 MP and the front snapper has been upgraded to 5 MP from 1.2 MP. This is a significant change as compared to the older iPhones. The new cameras also come with Live Photos technology, which records one second of video before taking the photo and one second of video after. This results in the pictures coming alive, similar to a GIF. According to many, this can result in something similar to the moving portraits that can be found in Harry Potter. Another addition includes the video recording in 4K, which means sharper and brighter pixels that will result is more color in each recording.
The company has announced that the iPhone 6S comes with a faster processor speed and with the A9 chipset. However, it failed to give any real numbers or clock speed and instead claimed a 70% boost on the processor speed and a 90% boost on the GPU. These are just percentages provided by the company, real numbers will be seen once the phone is available for review in the market.
There is still no 32 GB option as the new line up offers the same 16, 64 and 128 GB storage options without any additional card slots. The battery of the new phone is actually smaller than the iPhone 6, but more optimizations have been made to the phone which may suggest that battery life may last longer than previously.
