Difference between iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy S4

Key difference: iPhone 5S is the latest smartphone by Apple. It features Apple OS 7 and is available in 3 colors: white, black and gold. Samsung Galaxy S4 is the flagship phone of the Samsung Corporation.

iPhone 5S is the newest phone launched by Apple Inc. The phone was launched in September 2013 after weeks of speculation. iPhone 5 has been discontinued in light of the new release, but iPhone 4S will continue to be available in the market.

iPhone 5S has been launched in three variants: 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB; each of which are available in three colors: silver, space grey and gold.

The whole itself hasn’t changed much, the device itself retain the 4-inch retina screen and its thin and light body. However, additional features of the phone include a fingerprint identity sensor; a better and faster camera; an operating system built specifically for 64-bit; Sapphire crystal in the home button and protecting the iSight camera.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the much awaited successor to the very popular Samsung Galaxy S3. The company boasts new features into a slightly smaller and sleeker design. The phone’s screen has been increased to a stunning almost 5 inches with only slight decrease in size of the phone. The screen is a full HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that provides a greater resolution of 1080 pixels, almost 441ppi density.

The phone is available with either the 1.6 GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 5 processor or the 1.9 GHz Snapdragon Fusion Pro quad-core processor, depending on the market. It is available with 16/32/64 GB internal capacity options and if that is not enough it can be upgraded by another 64 GB using the SD slot. The S4 comes with 2 GB RAM, which has become a norm for smartphones these days.

The phone was launched with some new features such as Air Wave, Smart Scroll and Smart Pause, as well as Group Play and Dual camera mode.
