The iPhone 5C is mainly considered to a cheaper variant of the iPhone 5S. While, it is cheaper as compared to the iPhone 5S, it is still at a premium price when compared to other phones on the market. In lieu of the two new releases, the iPhone 5 has been discontinued, while the iPhone 4S will still be available.
The iPhone 5C is made of polycarbonate plastic, as opposed to the preferred iPhone material, glass. The biggest departure from iPhone tradition is the fact that the iPhone 5C is available in colors, specifically White, Pink, Yellow, Blue and Green. Cases in these colors, as well as black are also available, which the user can get separately and mix and match as per his/her discretion.
The phone itself comes in two internal memory variants: 16 GB and 32 GB. Both come with the latest iOS, that is the iOS 7, which is launched with the phone. The phone touts its 8 megapixel iSight camera, and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing FaceTime HD camera featuring enhanced light sensitivity.

The iPhone supported a 3.5 inch LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen with 640 x 960 pixels and 16 million colors. The phone also offered safety features such as corning gorilla class as well as oleophobic coating that keep fingerprints off the front screen as well as the back screen. The phone was manufactured by LG under an exclusive contract from Apple. The iPhone was is available with iOS4 and was upgradable to iOS6.1. It included a 1 GHz Apple A4 processor, PowerVR SGX535 GPU and 512 MB.
