Difference between Coffee and Filter Coffee

Key Difference: Coffee is boiled, steeped, or pressurized, and can be made in a variety of ways. On the other hand, filter coffee is usually made with a filter brewing machine. It is a somewhat simpler method to prepare coffee.

Coffee first originated in the African country, Ethiopia. The word coffee is borrowed from the 15th century, and is a plant which is refined in mostly tropical and equatorial countries of the world, especially in the African continent. There are several types of coffee such as Latte, Cappuccino, espresso, Americano, macchiato, decaf, etc. There are various ways to make coffee, including a French press, which puts coffee beans into a press machine and infuses the flavor into hot water.

Coffee puts forward benefits such as reducing risks like heart diseases, insomnia, Alzheimers, diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and dementia. It can also prevent certain, heart rhythm problems, strokes and cancers.

A filter coffee is usually made with a filter brewing machine. Filter coffee is somewhat simpler than other types of coffees. Filter coffee is ground roasted beans through which one has to pour boiling water and the liquid is passed through a filter leaving only the fresh brew. The grounds stay trapped in the filter. Indian Filter Coffee, also known as South Indian Coffee is a special type of filter coffee made in India. It is mainly famous in the southern states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Process

Coffee berries are hand-picked and then separated, after which the seeds are removed from the berries and then fermented and washed and dried. After this the coffee beans are then roasted and packaged. They can also be grinded to powdered form for instant coffee.

Depending on how strong one likes coffee, spoon the preferred quantity of coffee grounds into the coffee filter, which should be resting inside the coffee maker. Fill appropriate amount of water, shut all lids of the coffee filter and then press the start button for brewing. Most coffee makers will signal after completing brewing. Pour your cup and add any syrups or sweeteners if required.
